Response to London incident on 22nd March 2017
Dyfed-Powys Police’s priority is to safeguard people living in and visiting the area. The UK threat level has been severe for some time and that level will not change.
Like all other forces, we are increasing patrols as part of the wider response to yesterday’s tragic events in London. The public may also see an armed presence at certain large events - at this time, this is precautionary. There is no specific threat in the region.
We urge the public to remain alert but not alarmed. The police service and our partners are doing everything we can to help protect the security of our communities.
Acts of terrorism and hate crimes committed by a small minority of people are not representative of the public. If you are aware of suspicious behaviour or activity, call 0800 789321 or, in an emergency call 999.
