Last week the latest unemployment figures were released with the working wage employment rate at 73% in Wales with unemployment standing at 4.9% across Wales.
Brecon and Radnorshire was announced as the constituency with the lowest unemployment rate in Wales. Standing at 2% compared with the national average of 4.9% in Wales.
Chris Davies MP reacted to the news:
“We should all be extremely proud that Brecon and Radnorshire has become the constituency with the lowest unemployment rates in Wales. Our local economy is on the rise and unemployment is continually falling in our constituency.
I could not be more pleased to receive have received this news last week. I believe we have such high employment in Brecon and Radnorshire because we have such passionate businesses and a resilient workforce who believe in the area they love.
We are lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful places in the UK and I will continue to work with businesses to push forward the interests of the people of Brecon and Radnorshire in Westminster”. More stories
