The general election campaign has got underway with a Conservative Government Minister visiting Brecon.
Sajid Javid was previously Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills and President of the Board of Trade prior to Parliament's dissolution came to visit the beautiful market town of Brecon.
Mr Javid, who has represented Bromsgrove in the West Midlands since 2010, appealed for voters to back Mrs May which he claimed would strengthen her hand in negotiations over Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union.
Chris Davies provided Sajid Javid with a tour around many local businesses across Brecon, speaking with business owners and staff to see what the Government can do to help provide the right environment to allow their businesses to continue to grow and employ local people.
Chris Davies said:
"Prior to being elected in 2015 I pledged to put Brecon & Radnorshire on the map, many in Westminster had scarcely heard our area mentioned and I wanted to promote our home.
Over the last two years I have mentioned Brecon & Radnorshire at every opportunity in the House of Commons and have brought senior Government figures to our constituency, with the Defence Secretary Michael Fallon visiting just two months ago.
Over the coming weeks I will continue to knock on as many doors as possible, speaking with the electorate and explaining why I believe a vote for the Conservative Party is the best choice at the coming election."
