The Powys New cabinet have today voted to keep Welsh In Brecon High school . On a day of epic firsts , epic speeches from all local councillors from all political parties and the first epic day a full cabinet travelled en masse to Brecon to sit - the cabinet were greeted with epic applause and cheers on their decision to keep Welsh alive in Brecon .
Powys Cabinet member Liam Fitzpatrick who was unable to vote due to being predetermined on his robust support for Welsh at Brecon High, in the past, said " This was a truly great day for the new Cabinet. I have never before witnessed a crowd of people cheer at politicians or ask to shake your hand or people crying for joy at a Political decision . There is real Hope now that together we can make Welsh at Brecon High School work and I believe all the politicians and parents are committed to this new team effort .This is truly a different type of cabinet that we have had in the past - a cabinet that really listens -and works alongside residents - who are also our friends and neighbours ."
