Julia Watts from Battle near Brecon has published the following appeal:
"I am appealing for witnesses on a dog attack made on sheep in fields opposite Battle forestry, Battle Hill between 11am on Friday 6th October and 12pm Sunday 8th October. Currently we have 9 dead, that were either killed straight away or have had to be put down due to the extent of their injuries, 4 missing (presumed dead in a large area of gorse and fern but not yet located) and many more being treated for tears and bite marks.
It is known that a large Doberman went missing while being walked in Battle Forestry between 1-4.30pm on Friday 6th October, but it is not yet know if this is linked at all. Anyone with any information on of the whereabouts of this dog between the times or any other dogs seen in the area will be greatly appreciated. This attack disturbs me greatly as my garden borders the fields that it took place in where my two little girls are often playing. The culprit needs to be found for making this horrific mess on the sheep or this will happen again and next time it may not be just sheep".
Witnesses or people with information are asked to contact the police on 101 (anonymously if they wish) quoting ref DP-20171008-296
