Councillor Liam fitzpatrick is delighted to announce the following work will take place which has caused massive upset and concern to residents.
The North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agent will be undertaking resurfacing works on the A40 between Glan Usk Park and Brecon commencing 7th November 2017. There are 4 distinct sites: Llanhamlach, Scethrog to Newton Farm, Tal-y-bryn, & Kestrel Inn. The works are scheduled to take place between the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and are currently planned for completion on 24th November 2017.
For 2 sites (Scethrog to Newtown Farm and Kestrel Inn) the road will need to be physically closed whilst the works are carried out.
The current road closure programme is as follows:
Scethrog to Newton Farm – Total of 5 days, 8th to 14th November 2017 (excluding weekends).
Kestrel Inn – Total of 7 days, 15th to 23rd November 2017 (excluding weekends).
The official signed diversion route will be via the A40 to Brecon, A470/A438 to Bronllys, A479 to Nantyfin to rejoin the A40, and vice versa. More stories
