The Brecon Advice Centre is a registered charity giving free, confidential and impartial advice on a wide variety of subjects, including debt, benefits, employment, housing and legal problems, utility issues and relationship matters.
We have two paid staff and ten Volunteer Advisers and are open to the public on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 10am and 1pm. Advisers assist clients face-to-face, in writing and over the 'phone, as well as liaising with third parties such as creditors, bailiffs, tribunals, local government, the DWP and clients' employers.
We are currently seeking Volunteer Advisers who could commit to volunteering for two sessions a week. This is an unpaid role but travelling expenses may be reimbursed.
Please contact David Weston (Chairman) or Sarah Diskin (Manager) during the above opening hours on (01874) 624595 for an informal discussion and/or for an application form. More stories
