On Monday the 5th of February, at the Coliseum Cinema, Brecon Film Society will be showing Moonlight, directed by Barry Jenkins and starring Trevante Rhodes, Alex Hibbert and Mahershala Ali.. It was made in the USA in 2016.
It is a deserving Oscar-winner and a distinctive study of a poor, gay, Afro-American outcast growing up in Miami. The Guardian said of this film that it is .... ‘ a moving, visually ravishing triptych about a gay man’s coming of age’.
The Film Society shows its films on the first Monday of the month, starting at 7.30 promptly – we do not show any advertisements beforehand – and non-members are most welcome. However for membership enquiries contact Judith Fitton on 01874 623166.
