Chris Davies MP visited Priory Church in Wales school to meet with headmistress Mrs Lynsey Mccrohon. Mrs Mccrohon gave Mr Davies a tour of the school facilities and discussed the plans for the school for 2018.
Priory has a unique style of educating pupils, it uses a dramatic-inquiry based method of teaching and learning invented and developed by Professor Dorothy Heathcote. Developing it as pedagogy at Priory School has challenged their pupils and staff to greater levels of thinking, questioning and creativity. Priory it has proven to be an inclusive, respectful and successful vehicle in which to teach and learn together. Mantle of the Expert has enabled them to create a learning environment where staff and children have mutual trust and respect for one another. MoE provides the children with the skills, confidence and knowledge to participate in learning activities that take them out of their 'comfort zone' enabling the whole class to come together and work alongside all of their peers as a cohesive team.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Priory last week. Mrs Mccrohon was a fabulous host who kept me up to dates with the schools plans. Their drama based approach to learning is truly fascinating and I am proud this school is a pioneer in this field. The new additions to their outdoor play area really are first class and will add to this energy and vibe of this school for years to come. I will continue to keep in touch with the school and am already looking forward to my next visit.
