Join us for an authentic cooking experience with a difference! Spend an evening with an ex-army Gurkha Chef who will teach you how to make a delicious fresh Gurkha Curry, then enjoy eating the tasty meal that has been freshly prepared in front of you. This great cookery evening is held at the wonderful Welsh Rarebit Centre in Defynnog, near Sennybridge which is well worth a visit for the great ambience.
Chef Ramu will demonstrate creating Gurkha curry with chicken and vegan options from scratch, along with various side dishes and tasty snacks which will be handed out as nibbles during the cookery process. Learn about this distinctive curry and have the chance to ask questions about Nepalese cuisine and also about the traditional Nepalese way of life.
The Gukha cookery experience is an interactive demonstration followed by everyone having a dish of delicious freshly cooked curry and side dishes which generally include lentils, chapati and rice. We can accommodate vegans and can also make gluten-free dishes with advance notice, so please advise of any food preferences or intolerances in advance. The curries generally are nut-free and dairy-free but please advise in advance of allergies.
Drinks are "bring your own" but there will also be soft drinks available to buy.
Upcoming dates include 12th July, 15th August & 25th August and we hope to offer various dates year round. Tickets cost £25 per person to include food. As spaces are limited, please pre-book at https://gooddayout.co.uk/experiences/gurkha-cooking-experience/ or call Good Day Out on 01874 749092 and gift vouchers are also available if you wish to buy this as a special present.
