Dyfed Powys Police are recruiting Police Community Support Officers (PCSO’s) for the Ceredigion and Powys areas.
Dyfed Powys Police:
Becoming a PCSO is a challenging and rewarding career, but it is not just any job. The officers appointed will work directly with and make a very positive contribution to the communities they work in.
Policing with the Community is at the very centre of everything we do as a police service and as such, it is vital that we are representative of our communities. Dyfed-Powys Police is therefore particularly interested in recruiting more people from our diverse communities in order to be fully representative of the communities we serve.
As part of the focused campaign to recruit, a series of Application Workshops will take place. The sessions will provide information and encouragement to interested applicants to guide them through the recruitment and selection process.
These workshops are aimed at promoting awareness of the role of a PCSO, how to write a successful application form and encouraging applications from under-represented groups.
Included in the sessions will be a presentation from an assessor of PCSO applications around completing the application form and information from the force Positive Action Officer.
Also present will be PCSOs who will be able to talk about their role.
