The Edmund Jones Charity is currently recruiting for the role of Administrator. This is a part-time position (6 hours per week).
The Trustees of the Edmund Jones Charity manage a building in Brecon which was left in trust by Edmund Jones in 1674. The administrator acts as clerk to the trustees (the position becomes vacant on the retirement of the current Clerk of Trustees).
The ideal candidate will be one who is well organised, works well on own initiative, has a high level of interpersonal social skills and good written and verbal abilities. Competence in IT is essential, using emails, spreadsheets, maintenance of files and use of social media.
The job covers a wide range of tasks – book-keeping, correspondence including taking minutes at board meetings, producing supporting information to the Trustees in line with Charity Commission regulations and presenting the annual report and accounts. Organising the grant scheme requires liaising with education establishments and employers in the town. Building management includes dealing with advertising, viewings, lettings and leases and tenant enquiries.
