Nigel Evans is probably better known as a musician and filmmaker, along with his involvement in Brecon Fringe and Brecon Farmers Market, but he also has another string to his bow, or rather another colour on his paint palette!
Along with his artist partner, Karin Mear, Nigel is exhibiting his recent paintings at The Hours Cafe and Bookshop in Brecon. Leigh Hendra from The Hours has described his paintings as Hygge, but they are Hygge with an edge. Nigel says they reflect Utopia - but not quite.
Karin Mear’s paintings are inspired by the coal tips of her childhood, Welshness and collected objects which have sparked her imagination and sometimes indignation.
The exhibition runs until 30 December 2019.
