Bute Parks' mixture of mature parkland, woodland and riverside makes it surprisingly plentiful in wild plants, flowers and a variety of fungi throughout the year.
We will meet at the Castle Street entrance to the park, outside the Pettigrew tearooms. The course starts with a short introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes.
We’ll set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the park teaching you how to identify the different plants and mushrooms we find.
We'll stop along the way for some seasonal homemade refreshments, such as our lovely wild garlic and hogweed soup or fruit leathers.
After the walk we will end the day with a tasty wild food lunch based on what we have found as well as some homemade treats.
After the course, we will email you a list of everything we talk about to help you to remember what you have learnt.
Course dates at this venue; 22nd March, 3rd April, 9th May, 3rd July & 7th August.
Adults £45, Under 16's £22.50, Under 12's Free. More stories
