World Day of Prayer 2020 Friday 6th March
This year all the churches will come together in Brecon Cathedral on Friday 6th March at 2.00pm, for the World Day of Prayer.
This service helps us to pray with and for different countries in our world and brings our attention to our brothers and sisters in Christ to hear their thoughts, hopes, concerns and dreams about the the circumstances they live in and have to face.
This year the service has been prepared by the women of Zimbabwe with the Theme "Rise, take your mat and walk".
They encourage us all to reflect on the difficulties and unrest that have plagued their country over many years. They share the challenges they have met and the hopes they have for the future. as they continue their often turbulent journey towards full reconciliation.
This day of prayer is celebrated in over 170 countries beginning in Samoa then through Asia, Africa, Middle East, Europe and the Americas. It is a privilege to be part of this world wide day of prayer as all the churches in the Brecon area join together in this act of worship and prayer. Everyone is welcome to come, young, not so young and both men and women. For further information, see the website: wwdp.org.uk
