The Artisan Christmas Market was a huge success according to its organiser Emma Bevan (pictured above) from Artisan Events. The Artisan Market idea was launched last March as part of Brecon Women's Festival and following the positive feedback that market received Emma decided to organise a Christmas event.
In addition to attracting crowds of shoppers the pop up cafe, which was raising money for Usk House and St David's Raised £800.
Emma told us:
“ I am thrilled that the request from the stallholders for me to run another Market was a success! The range of talent, the lovely atmosphere and the happy customers was just fantastic, and I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone for making it such a special day. The choirs and musicians were amazing! The fact that Usk House Hospice raised £800 is the cherry on the cake.. they looked after me so well 6 years ago, so to be able to help them via the generosity of the visitors made us all very happy... well all be back in March for the BWF!”
One if the stallholders, Sarah from Naked Sister sent Fyi:Brecon this review:
"I attended the Brecon Artisan Market yesterday as a stallholder. I was amazed by the quality and presentation of all the stalls there. I was offered a free cup of tea by the organisers who had advertised the market far and wide - people came from everywhere and the footfall was continuous from start to finish. Highly recommended events for stallholders and customers alike.”
Fyi:Brecon went along and took some photos as a record of the day and also to show what a wonderful asset the Market Hall is for Brecon.
