"If music be the food of love play on", wrote William Shakespeare in Twelfth Night and Brecon Farmers Market will certainly be providing great music tomorrow with Fil Ziebicki - a talented guitarist, singer and songwriter. Listen to him while enjoying a coffee, a snack or lunch from our pop up cafe.
If you're looking for a Valentine's gift that's slightly different pay a visit to Harry Chapman the Woodturner's stall. Along with a selection of wooden bowls, bread boards and other beautifully crafted pieces Harry has made some heart themed boards and small dishes. Harry's products are made with passion and he's always happy to demonstrate his wood turning techniques at the market.
We like to celebrate to Valentine's Day (or any day actually!) with a foody treat. If you're like us seek out Clam's Cakes. They will be bringing along their delicious and very pretty Valentine shortbread (pictured at top of page). We challenge you to keep it until 14 February!

Parva will be bringing a new product range with them this month, namely their Sambals.
Sambals are South East Asian chilli sauces with a thicker consistency to chilli sauces that we know in the west. They have a range of heat levels from medium (Sambal Hijau) to very hot (Sambal Ulek). Traditionally served as a condiment next to a meal they make delicious curries when used as a base for a sauce or marinades, can be used on wraps and sandwiches or with a dollop of sour cream on top of Jacket potatoes. They will have tasters as usual for the adventurous to come and try for themselves.
Parva will also have a selected range of our spice blends including the very popular Turmeric & Ginger infusion.
The February market is always bustling as it's the beginning of half term (in Wales) and also our growers and farmers are seeing welcome signs of Spring on their land. Come along and join us - entry is free and children are always welcome.
Brecon Farmers Market takes place in Brecon Market Hall and we open from 9.30am until 2pm.
