Sheep Music is back - come and enjoy the sunshine in Presteigne THIS SATURDAY ????
With local favourites Little Rumba, Presteigne Pop Choir and Liv & Bertie. From further afield - The New Planet Animals plus the new talent on the block, Black Mountain Boy from Hay on Wye.
The life of Nicola Humphreys (one of Sheep Music's original founders) is set to be celebrated with a day long festival this Saturday 7th July. Sheep Music will return to its birthplace, the Warden in Presteigne, with a day of music and entertainment in memory of Nicola who sadly died last year.
The Warden is a beautiful spot with far reaching views atop an ancient castle mound. Everyone is encouraged to bring a picnic (to share if desired) and enjoy a day of music, join in with games and activities or simply sit in the sun and soak up the atmosphere. For those who were on the Warden all those years ago it promises to bring back a lot of happy memories.
Alongside the bands, festival favourite Lucy ‘Loose’ Baker will be providing walkabout theatre and a chance to meet the 'Spirits of the Warden'.
There will be plenty to keep children busy and entertained with games and workshops; treasure hunts, butterfly interviewing, lantern painting, giant scrabble and lots of other fun games.
The event begins at 3pm and will run into the evening finishing at 10.30pm. There will be tea and cakes and the usual excellent Sheep Music bar plus delicious late night lamb burgers from Weobley Ash. No glass, fires or dogs allowed.
