This Brecon Jazz festival gig, organised and curated by Brecon Jazz Club member John Anderson, is a fundraiser for Side by Side Refugees, an Essex based group supporting refugees in Calais.
Ian Shaw, who was “Best Jazz Vocalist” at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2007 and 2004, and nominated in the Best UK Vocalist category at the Jazz FM awards in 2013 has already amassed a number of highly acclaimed internationally released albums and is a popular performer both in the UK and the US. He has been cited, along with Mark Murphy and Kurt Elling, as one of the world’s finest male jazz vocalists.
Ian Shaw can be seen on the St Mary's Stage in Brecon Town Centre at 6pm on Friday 10th August. Tickets are £14 and available from https://breconjazz.org/artist/ian-shaw/
All profits from this gig will go to Side By Side with Refugees - learn more here http://www.sidebysiderefugees.org/
