This October 18, Brecon and District Credit Union will join more than 89,000 credit unions from 117 countries and millions of members globally to celebrate the 70th anniversary of International Credit Union Day®.

Brecon and District Credit Union (BDCU) it commenced business in July 1995, we are one of the earliest of Wales’s Credit Unions. The BDCU, is a financial cooperative, which is owned by its members. We are here to help all people who live or work in the Powys area. Our services include a banking/ savings facility, assistance with basic money management and loan forms, affordable loan products and a pre-paid card – Engage, where you cannot go overdrawn. Our collection points are at Brecon, Hay, Crickhowell, Ystradgynlais. We have junior savings clubs at various schools across Powys.
At the BDCU we are passionate about helping people to live the life they choose to live and that is why we are working with the Welsh Government and other agencies to tackle financial exclusion and poverty.
