Powys Pub of the Year Highlights Brecon Beacons’ Edible Landscape
Renowned foraging expert Adele Nozedar and Powys Pub of the Year The Three Horseshoes in Groesffordd, Brecon, have partnered up to make sure that diners at the pub – whose Gavin Kellett recently won the coveted National Chef of the Year Award 2019 - have the very best dining experience that the Brecon Beacons can possibly offer.
Adele says ‘More than ever, people want to know about the provenance of their food. And wild ingredients have a hugely important part to play in that. The reason I agreed to work with the Horseshoes is because not only are the food and atmosphere excellent, but also chefs Connor Turner and Gavin Kellett are keen foragers already, and clearly want to go that extra mile to give their customers something really, really special’.
Ashley Haworth, owner of The Three Horseshoes, said
‘This area is really special to all of us. Here at The Horseshoes we have the best view of the Brecon Beacons within the entire county, and seeing that incredible landscape every day is a constant reminder of where we are. When people come here to eat, we know it’s about far more than just the food. It’s about giving people an experience they won’t get anywhere else in the UK. With Connor and Gavin’s acknowledged skills, and Adele’s guidance, we’ve got a chance to do something really ground-breaking and extraordinary for our guests’.
