The Lake Players formed in 2018 after a successful production of The Wakefield Mysteries by Adrian Henri. The cast of nearly 40 with ages ranging from 5 to ‘you can’t ask a lady how old she is’ had great fun and raised about £1000 for local charities. The younger people were mostly members of Raven drama group run by Lynn Clausen who meet weekly in a Thursday in Llangorse community centre. The slightly less young cast members decided to
keep meeting and so The Lake Players were formed – an amateur dramatic group who enjoy having a laugh and also fund-raise in the process!
The second venture was Clue Murder a murder-mystery play, crafted by co-director Alan Lodge and this was staged across two local venues in December 2018 to great acclaim - at least from the cast!
And now, Alan has written another play, which is interwoven with several Pint Size Plays and will be staged on 28th and 29th March to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Llangors Youth and Community Centre.
LAKE PLAYERS present TEMPTING FETE - a fun amalgamation of short plays.
You can marvel at a strange picture in an art exhibition, hiss at a crooked medium, wonder at a goldfish dreaming of a better life- when he can remember…or empathise with marital problems, fifty feet in the air.
All interspersed with the tangles a farmer can get into with his prize-winning sheep.
